One star but instead of a fan they had air con it would be five star. One of the best hotels I have stayed in, nothing to much for the great staff who were considerate, helpful and with a great sense of humour.

Hottest August for forty years, air con would have helped more than a fan but you can't beat the elements!

The hotel was in a great location. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. The rooms were clean and were cleaned every day except monday when its the staffs day off.The bar area was very nice and there was entertainment on some nights.

We had breakfast included in our rate, we went the first 2 mornings and after that we ate out every other morning. The food was terrible. Also when we were there obviously there were a lot of families with young children, the pool was littered with lilos etc...everyone used to just leave the pool area and leave their playthings floating around the pool.There should be a sign up to take them out when finished..very annoying when your trying to swim with things floating in your face!! No air conditioning but you can rent a fan out for 15 Euro a week.

It was very noisy, music from different hotels and bars competed until late. And early in the morning the traffic woke us up. The lack off ac made the rooms very hot. Our balcony were never cleaned. We would not recommened this hotel.

This is a very well run and clean hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the whole stay was very enjoyable. Some very good entertainment in the evenings and a well run bar. I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends and would stress that although this is only 1 star rated should be a little higher. Overall very good value for money and in a wonderful location - 5 mins from the beach.

The only down side may be the lack of Air Conditioning but there was a breeze most nights to overcome this.

Price and service.

It was supposed to be situated in a quiet area, but there was noise pretty much every night. The hotel is located right next to a street, so if you are placed on that side you can expect to hear some noise in the morning. There's no aircon so you can't really sleep with closed doors/windows. We requested to be moved to the other side of the hotel, which was a bit better in regards to the noise.

There was no ac in the room and they make you pay €2.5 per night to use a fan (which did not even work properly). Seeing as the hotel looks out onto the main street, it was very noisy and one night we did not sleep at all because of the noise outside. When we mentioned it to the guard at the reception the following night he told us that we must have dreamt it - not very good customer service in my opinion.

Everything, it is is in need of refurbishment, it is more like a pub than a hotel, Would never stay or visit there again

To be honest not a lot,

I know it was cheap but they could make it so much better if they removed at least 2 of the large televisions from the bar and the tacky flags and replaced it with some flowers to make it feel like a hotel and not a grubby bar. The rooms are small and to be charged for a fan is excessive....the bathrooms are bad, toilets not flushing and water not running away from sinks....I Would definitely not stay there again............

Das Personal war freundlich Im Zimmer war eine leere Minibar, die somit als Kühlschrank genutzt werden konnte.

• Das Hotel ist sehr alt und die Einrichtung der Zimmer marode • Im Bad wurde seit mehreren Jahrzenten nicht renoviert, es besitzt keine Abluftanlage und verlebte Sanitäreinrichtungen • Die Duschbrause ist fest montiert - kein Schlauch • Aus der festmontierten Duschbrause kommt nur sehr sehr wenig Wasser raus, so dass das Duschen sehr lange dauert! Das Wasser ist erst nach 5 Minuten warm - Dusche unbrauchbar! • In der Badewanne befindet sich in Zimmer 402 Rost auf dem Badewannenboden und die gesamte Badewanne ist bereits so verschlissen, dass sie nicht mehr vernünftig gereinigt werden kann, selbst wenn das Zimmermädchen es irgendwann einmal vorhätte. Natürlich werden die anderen Zimmer ein ähnliches Bild abgeben, da wir bei unserer Beschwerde an der Rezeption mit Verbitterung hören mussten, dass wir noch eines der besten Zimmer erwischt hätten und "alle Zimmer gleich wären - niemand hat bessere Badezimmer, nichts wird renoviert" • Das Frühstück und das Abendessen finden im Sutterain statt - keine Fenster mit Blick nach draussen • Es wurde beim Checkin sofort abgerechnet, vor Einsichtnahme des Zimmers! Nie wieder! Hätten wir dieses Zimmer vorher gesehen, wären wir garnicht erst eingecheckt! • über 90% der Besucher des Hotels waren englische Rentner! • das frühstück ist auf sehr niedrigem Standard - keine frischen Brötchen, als Brot nur Toast, kein Kaffee sondern Instant-Automatenbrühe, die den Namen Kaffee nicht verdient. Kein Saft, sondern Sirupmixe aus Automat, welche ebenfalls den Namen "Getränk" nicht verdienen. Wenn man auf "Wasser" drückt, erhält man eine trübe, ungenießbare Suppe aus dem, was die Leitungen hergeben. Der "Speck" machte den Eindruck, jeden Tag neu frittiert zu werden, was vom Vortag nicht wegging, demnach schmeckte er pappig, sauer und stellenweise so hart wie Knochen. Ungenießbar! Die gekochten Eier, die es jeden Tag gab, waren so lange gekocht, dass der Dotterrand bereits grün-braun verhärtet war.
